Short answer? Yep.
Longer answer? Keep reading. We’ll help you get the best results (and avoid the bubbly chaos of the wrong bottle choice).
At Elcove, we’re not here to sell you clutter. If you already have a reusable bottle you love, keep using. We’re big fans of working with what you’ve got, especially if it means less waste and more people refilling.
But here’s the thing: not all bottles are created equal, especially when it comes to concentrated refills like ours. Here are a few tips to make sure your refill experience is just as dreamy as it should be:
1. Use a Foaming Pump Dispenser
Our formulas are designed for foaming pumps, not regular liquid ones.
Not sure if your bottle is foaming?
If it pumps out bubbly, mousse-like soap — you’re good.
If it spits out liquid, it's time to upgrade your pump.
2. Size Matters (But Not That Much)
Our pouches are made to work best with 10-16 oz bottles.
If your bottle is a little bigger or smaller, it’ll still work, but:
-
Too big? The foam might be a little lighter.
-
Too small? You may need to dilute in two batches.
It’s not rocket science, but measuring-ish is your friend.
3. Clean Before You Refill
We know, it’s just soap going back into a soap bottle. But if there’s old product hanging out at the bottom or leftover water, it could mess with the mix.
Rinse, then refill. Trust us on this one.
4. Already Using Our Bottles? You’re Set
No stress, our aluminum bottles are made for these refills.
Perfect size, perfect pump, and they look good next to your sink.
In Summary?
Yes, you can use your own bottle.
Just make sure it’s foaming, roughly the right size, and clean before each refill. And if you ever decide to try our bottles? Cool. But we’ll never force it.
Because making less waste should actually feel easy and work with your real life.
