Wonderful products!

I came across Elcove products in an effort to reduce plastic waste in dish soap and bath products, and I'm so glad I did! If you are like me and desperately want to eliminate as many household plastics as possible, Elcove is a perfect choice. The dish soap refills are not just convenient for storage; they are a great product. I ordered the unscented version because I work with essential oils and wanted to add my own favorite fragrance. I also added a little tea tree oil for it's antibacterial properties. As far as the dish soap's cleaning abilities, I tried it directly on coconut oil in the bottom of a bowl that had turned into a clump of hard oil. I know hot water would help remove the hardened oil from the bowl but I wanted to see what the dish soap would do. I foamed the soap (no water) into the bottom of the bowl and worked it around with my fingers until it felt like the coconut oil was removed, and then rinsed. The soap had indeed broken up the oil, and it rinsed clean with warm water. Does it clean heavy grease buildup on pots and pans? I can't say because I don't fry foods, but I can tell you it works perfectly for all my hand dish washing needs, and NO plastic bottles. Now, the hand soap, that's a different review, but I LOVE it as well! Great products- please don't stop making them.

A very good plastic-free dish soap

This product is just what I've been looking for.
-As good at cleaning as conventional liquid dish soap
-Detergent-based formula
-Non-plasric packaging
-Add your own water so less weight to ship
-Unscented option

I buy refills to use with my own pump.

What I don't get and find wasteful is every refill order comes with a sponge I don't use and a how-to card that should be easily avaiable on ElCove's web site. It would be nice it they took a dollar off the price and skipped these things to reduce the waste.
